Project marges

The brief

Ten years of photographs, four hard drives, no order. The work was about margins — where land gives up and water starts — and the book had to move at that same patient pace.

What we made

  • The edit: 1,400 frames down to 96, sequenced across three movements
  • Burnt-orange cloth binding with a blind-debossed mark, no jacket, no title on the front
  • Duotone separations tuned with the printer over two long days in Barcelona

It sold through its first run in five months. The second printing corrected exactly one thing: the spine now survives being read flat, which is how everyone actually reads it.
