The brief
Work this good shouldn't travel home in newspaper. But a potter's margins don't stretch to rigid boxes and foil — the packaging had to cost almost nothing and still feel like a small ceremony.
What we made
- Stock kraft boxes dressed with a single cream label, stamped by hand
- Cream tissue and cotton twine — a wrapping ritual that takes forty seconds per bowl
- A stamp kit so every new batch of boxes gets made at the kitchen table
Total unit cost: under forty cents. Shops now reorder the packaging story as often as the pots.
